Last Thursday was the Official Kanaka Springs Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Celebration! In an effort by Epic Homes to thank all our stakeholders, city officials, professionals, and sub-trade partners who helped make this master-planned community become a reality. After years of careful planning and cooperation with the mayor, council, and city staff, CREST at Kanaka Springs, the first phase of a 70+ Acre Master planned community is officially open and now selling. Featuring three fully decorated show homes and an exceptional HOME STORE and information center.

The celebration began at 11:30 am with guests mingling and touring the show homes and enjoying lunch from our food truck vendors REEL Mac and Cheese & Vera’s Burger Shack plus an elaborate cake created by Hansel and Gretel Bakery, cookies, and sandwiches while enjoying live music by Nikita Afonso of VanHattan Entertainment. At approximately 12:30 pm the President of Epic Homes Cole Lambert and Mayor Mike Morden gave speeches expressing thanks to everyone involved in the project and commemorating the great success of the community since opening just a few weeks ago (officially opened for sales on June 25). Mayor Morden and councilors Dueck, Yousef, Robson & Svendsen then gathered around to ceremoniously cut a red ribbon spread across the entrance to the community with all event guests gathered around. Two lucky prize draw winners were announced at about 1:00 pm winning a Yetti Cooler and Weber Portable BBQ. It was a beautiful hot summer day with approximately 150-200 guests in attendance.

Big thanks to Mayor Mike Morden and Epic Homes President Cole Lambert for their speeches and to all of our valued guests who attended the celebration. We couldn’t have done it without each and every one of you!
